## Clinical Naming Note

- PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) is the new clinical name for what was previously called PCOS, per The Lancet 12 May 2026 consensus. Same condition, same ICD-10 code (E28.2), new globally adopted name.
- PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) is a clinically distinct, related condition primarily used as a term in India. PCOD was NOT part of the 2026 rename — PCOD remains PCOD.
- Qura Nutrition's 3-month program addresses both PMOS (formerly PCOS) and PCOD because they share the same lifestyle, dietary, and hormonal-support substrate.
