Ayurvedic treatment for PCOS and PCOD
You've probably been told PCOS just needs weight loss and a pill, right? Weight and medicines do matter. But Ayurveda looks at your periods, your skin, your weight and your digestion together, because in your body they are connected. So treatment starts with working out how they're connected in you.
Consultation cost - Free
One free first consultation per phone number. Follow-ups are Rs. 99.
What Ayurvedic treatment for PCOS involves
Yes, Ayurveda uses herbs for PCOS. But no single herb or kadha treats PCOS on its own. Treatment is a plan made for you, and it changes as your body responds.
01
A proper assessment
Your doctor goes through your cycle history, symptoms, digestion, sleep, stress and any reports you have, and works out which pattern your PCOS follows.
02
Food and daily routine first
Most of the plan is what you eat, when you eat it and how your day runs: meal timings, sleep, movement and stress. You do this part every day, so it carries most of the work.
03
Medicines only when you need them
If Ayurvedic medicines will help, your doctor prescribes them after the consultation, chosen for your case.
04
Follow-ups that adjust the plan
Your doctor checks how your cycle, energy and symptoms are moving, and changes the plan if something isn't working.
How Ayurveda reads PCOS and PCOD
Ayurveda doesn't treat PCOS as one fixed disease. It looks at which dosha is out of balance and how well your agni (digestive fire) is working.
Kapha pattern
Heaviness: weight gain, slow or delayed periods, oily skin, feeling sleepy after meals.
Vata pattern
Irregular or scanty periods, dry skin, bloating, anxiety and broken sleep.
Pitta pattern
Acne, heavy or painful periods, irritability, feeling hot.
Most women have a mix. When agni is weak, food isn't fully digested and ama (undigested metabolic waste) builds up, which Ayurveda links to blocked channels and stubborn symptoms. Modern research lands in a similar place: insulin resistance is at the centre of most PCOS, and it starts with how your body handles food.
What happens in your free first consultation
Before the call
A short health questionnaire, about 3 minutes, so your doctor has your history ready.
On the call
20 minutes on video with a BAMS Ayurvedic doctor. Bring any reports you have. You don't need new tests to book.
After the call
A written plan with your diet, routine and next steps, and the tests to get if you need any. You can also message us on WhatsApp with follow-up questions.
Who comes to us
- You've been diagnosed with PCOS or PCOD and want to work on what's behind it, not only the symptoms.
- Your periods are irregular, late or missing, and you want to know why.
- You're dealing with acne, facial hair, hair fall or weight that won't shift.
- You're planning a pregnancy and want your cycle and health checked first.
- You'd like Ayurvedic care alongside the treatment you already have.
When you should see a gynaecologist as well
Ayurvedic care works alongside modern medicine, not against it. Our doctors are Ayurvedic physicians (BAMS), not gynaecologists, and they will tell you when you need one. See a gynaecologist soon if you have:
- very heavy bleeding, or bleeding that soaks a pad every hour
- severe pain in your lower belly
- any chance you could be pregnant
- no period for more than three months
- facial or body hair that is growing fast, or a voice that is getting deeper
- been trying for a baby for a year without success (six months if you are over 35)
If you already take medicines from your gynaecologist, don't stop them on your own. Tell your Ayurvedic doctor about them on the call.
What it costs
- First consultation: free, one per phone number.
- Follow-up consultations: Rs. 99 each, or free when your plan includes them.
- A longer plan: if your doctor recommends one, you hear the options and the price on the call, before you decide anything.
Who you'll talk to
Consultations are with BAMS Ayurvedic doctors who work on women's health, including Striroga (Ayurvedic gynaecology) and fertility care. An Ayurvedic physiology professor (MD, PhD in Sharir Kriya) advises on how our treatment protocols are designed.
Questions women ask us
Can Ayurveda cure PCOS?
PCOS is a long-term condition, so we don't promise a cure. Ayurvedic care aims for a steadier cycle, better digestion and energy, and fewer of the symptoms that bother you, with a plan you can actually keep up.
Can I take Ayurvedic treatment with my allopathic medicines?
Often, yes, but your doctor needs to know everything you take. Mention every medicine and supplement on the call, and don't stop anything your gynaecologist prescribed without talking to them first.
What is the difference between PCOS and PCOD?
PCOD is the older name many people in India use. PCOS, now also called PMOS, is the name medical guidelines use. Whichever word is on your report, the assessment starts the same way.
Do I need tests before the consultation?
No. Bring whatever you have. If you need tests, your doctor tells you which ones after the call.
Is the consultation online only?
Yes. It's a video call, so you can join from anywhere in India.
Do I have to buy a program after the free consultation?
No. The first call is a consultation. If your doctor thinks a longer plan would help, you hear the options and the price, and the choice is yours.
How is this different from an Ayurvedic clinic near me?
Our doctors hold the same BAMS degree you'd find at a good clinic. The difference is that it's online, the first consultation is free, and you can message us on WhatsApp between calls.
